I realize most reviews are for work done, but this is a review for work NOT done.
I’m in Manatee County inland, but we still had strong winds from Milton. Shortly after the hurricane, I had called the roofing company who installed the roof about 10 years before to inspect it. Since we had no leaks, they were not able to come for several months. When they did, they said all was fine and not to worry.
Well, several (what feels like 100) door knocks and and roof salesmen who come to the door and tell you that you need a new roof, whether they’ve had permission to inspect it or not, you start to doubt yourself. This was further reinforced by a FEMA inspector, so I decided to seek another opinion. After researching licensing and reviews, I chose Richardson-Stinton Roofing.
The gentleman scheduled a time to come out, showed up on time, was able to view it without me there (due to work), and called to give his honest evaluation. He agreed that there was nothing to be done. The roof remains in good condition and will be likely to last many more years. At this point he could easily have convinced me I need a new roof- very easily.
In this time of rapidly rising homeowner’s insurance rates in Florida, I truly appreciate him being honest and doing the right thing. No charge for the visit, either. So, if you want a reliable, honest company, Richardson-Stinton is your choice.

After receiving multiple quotes and doing lots of research for a total roof replacement, we decided to go with Richardson-Stinton. Not only did they have the best price and warranties available, they also used the best highest rated products for what we needed. There were plenty of color choices and even warranty tiers. Once the job was started the guys made sure all of my plants were protected, they were clean, and efficient. My job took about 8 hours from start to finish including clean-up. I was very impressed and would recommend them to others in the future.

From the initial telephone call to the installation, Madison, Ed, Robby, and Chase were very professional and a pleasure to work with. After hurricane Milton I text the business number and asked for a quote. 5 minutes later I got a response saying they could be here in 5 minutes. We agreed to the quote and they ordered my shingles and installed them the next week. Super professional and friendly company. These guys are the real deal. I was in a pickle with a leaking roof. Ed and Chase had materials on my roof literally the next day. The entire job was done in 2-3 days. I am super happy. The bid was very fair compared to others - I highly recommend them

UPDATE: We had the eye of Hurricane Milton pass right over our home, so we had the front and backend of this CAT 3 hit our neighborhood! Not one shingle was loosened on our home and there were no issues with drip edge or anything else! Thank you Richardson-Stinton for your quality workmanship!!

The installation took two days, and was a painless process from beginning to end. My only complaint would be that there was less communication than I would have preferred. Chase did answer all of my questions, but my questions existed due to little to no information being provided.
Other than that, I am a happy customer with a beautiful new roof and an upcoming weekend of rain to test it out! Of note, I did appreciate the images that were sent with my final invoice to show the plywood that had been replaced.

Can’t say enough about these guys! House was struck by lightning on a Saturday, I called Monday morning and they had someone out Monday afternoon to take a look. Tropical Storm Debbie was headed to the Gulf and they had my roof repaired by that Friday. Super weight lifted off our shoulders with the storm coming and knowing the repair had been made. They stayed true to their contract price other than an extra sheet of plywood to repair some existing bad spots. Richardson-Stinton did a quality job re-roofing our home; shingle and flat. The crew conscientiously worked to complete the job in the timeframe they indicated. I’d give the roof job a 9 which to me is extremely high and deserved. The overall experience has a 10 rating; that based on their customer service, patience, immediate call backs, and small punch list assessment and corrections. I rarely find businesses that are as responsive as they have been. They asked to be paid only when the job was completely finished to our satisfaction. All in all, from sales and samples and direction to other jobs to view, to office personnel etc, I would not expect to find better. If they’re on your list of roofing considerations, drop the rest and stay with Richardson. They may not be the least expensive quote you might get but they’re worth every penny more they may charge..
